Acton Churches Together

Acton Churches Together is an informal network of Christian Churches in the area of Acton, London W3.
It's a way of celebrating and affirming our essential unity as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and commitment to following him together.

  • The church leaders meet together for fellowship and prayer and to facilitate joint activities and celebrations.
  • Each year we sing carols and present a united witness on the Market Place before Christmas, and on Good Friday we walk together all along the High Street before a joint service.
  • There is also an Annual Celebration where we rejoice in all the things that we do together to build God's Kingdom here.  There are many more ways we work together throughout the year, not least the power of prayerful support and fruitful friendships amongst our church members.

Each church fellowship has its own flavour, style of worship and particular projects and activities in the community. Some are local independent churches, others are mainstream denominations, and some are a local expression of larger national or international fellowships. All of them have a base in Acton and will warmly welcome those who want to come along or get involved.
In addition, there are many inter-church projects and groups, such as those where churches work together serving people in need (See 'Community' page), or meeting together for worship, mission, and prayer.  Some include Christians called to live together in a community.

But we all love the Lord, and we all want to follow the call to love Acton and the wonderful variety of people and nations who live and work here.

Jesus prayed for us on the night before he died "that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me."    John 17:21
